Alexandru Epureanu’s team Istanbul Basaksehir has dramatically qualified for the final of Turkey’s Cup. The two legs of Fenerbahce ended undecidedly, 2-2, and the winner was decided in the penalty shootout, IPN reports.
In the return game hosted by the Sukru Saracoglu stadium, Epureanu played throughout the match and was warned in the 120th minute. In the penalty shootout, the Moldovan player managed to score. In the final, Istanbul Basaksehir meets Konyaspor.
Istanbul Basaksehir also competes for the title of champion. Epureanu’s team ranks second, being two points behind Besiktas.
