The suspicions of corruption regarding some of the officials directly affect the European integration process, said Alexandru Bujorean, one of the founders of the political bloc “Together”. According to him, this message was also conveyed to President Maia Sandu during the meeting that the leaders of the political bloc had yesterday with the head of state. Alexandru Bujorean assures that the newly created bloc doesn’t have obscure characters behind it and all decisions within it are taken by the Administration Council of the political entity, IPN notes.

On Wednesday, President Maia Sandu had a meeting with the leaders of the bloc “Together”. Alexandru Bujorean said that during the discussions, not only the subject of the national constitutional referendum was addressed, but also topics related to the way the country is managed.

“We took the opportunity and raised other topics that bother us and also the whole society, I think. They concern governance, suspicions of corruption with regard to some of the Cabinet members, the way particular officials manage the fields of which they are in charge and also the way of communicating with particular categories. I’m referring to the situation in agriculture and Mr Bolea’s poor performance. We talked about the tender contests that perpetuate in the public space and the lack of reaction of decision-makers, including Mr. Spînu. During the meeting, I asked for transparency on the external funds that come to support the Republic of Moldova and the way in which this money is spent, including during the two years when the money was managed based on orders made by the Commission for Emergency Situations. Missis President relies on evidence and wants evidence to be presented. We tried to explain that suspicions of corruption regarding some of the dignitaries don’t concern only PAS. They directly affect the European integration process,” Alexandru Bujorean stated in the talk show “Rezume” on RliveTV.

Alexandru Bujorean expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that after the meeting with the head of state, Maia Sandu’s team published information on the controversial Telegram network, thus fueling speculations about the lack of objectivity of the political bloc.

“If some members of the President’s communication team consider that it is ok, after the meeting, to publish some information on Telegram, for this information to be then taken by malicious channels, behind which there are people disturbed by the fact that a pro-European alternative is growing, then we, within the bloc, will consider the opportunity to participate in these consultations. All our decisions are taken inside the bloc, within the Administration Council, where each component part has five members and no one can control the decision of these members,” stated Alexandru Bujorean.

After President Maia Sandu’s meeting with leaders of the bloc “Together”, the head of the President’s Office Adrian Băluțel wrote on Telegram that “the talks focused on the common objective – the Republic of Moldova’s accession to the European Union.”
