Radu Albot has surprisingly lost to Sweden’s Markus Eriksson, who is the 476th in the ATP world rankings, in the Challenger tournament held in Prostejov in the Czech Republic, IPN reports.
Albot, who is the sixth-seeded of the competition and No. 88 in the world, was beaten by 5-7, 5-7. Earlier, the 27-year-old athlete defeated Argentina’s Facundo Bagnis and Joao Souza of Brazil.
Radu Albot has so far won three Challenger tournaments, in Furth, Fergana and Poznan.
