Radu Albot stopped in the 1/8 finals of the Challenger tournament of Japan’s Kobe. He was eliminated by the representative of the hosts Yosuke Watanuki, IPN reports.
Albot, World No. 86, won the first set by 7-5, but lost the next two sets. The 19-year-old Watanuki, World. No 355, lost only two games, 2-6, 0-6.
Radu Albot, 27, in his career has won six Challenger tournaments. He is the only Moldovan who took part in the main competition of all the four Grand Slam tournaments.
