Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot lost the tiebreak to Czech Republic’s Jiri Vesely, World No. 64, in the first round of the main competition of the ATP World Tour 250 of Auckland, New Zealand, IPN reports.
Albot won the first set 6-3, but lost the second 1-6. In the decisive set, the 28-year-old player led repeatedly, but then lost the tiebreak 7-9 and was eliminated from the competition.
In the qualifying rounds, Albot beat British player Klein Brydan and Japan’s Daniel Taro. The Moldovan tennis player has now to prepare for the first Grand Slam tournament of the year - Australian Open.
