The Republic of Moldova and France signed a Social Security Agreement that guarantees clear rights for citizens working and living on the territory of the other state. This way, access to pensions, social and medical services will be facilitated. Increased security will be ensured for the diaspora. The agreement was signed during President Maia Sandu's visit to Paris, IPN reports.
The Strategic Partnership for Combating Disinformation was also signed in the French capital. The signatories are the Center for Strategic Communication and Combating Disinformation of Moldova and the French agency VIGINUM. The document is meant to support the protection of Moldova's information space and counter external manipulation.
The Financing Agreement with the French Development Agency (AFD) is the third signed document. It provides €30 million in support to improve energy efficiency in public buildings, helping to reduce energy consumption and bills.
"The meeting at the Élysée Palace reaffirmed France's firm support for the security of the Republic of Moldova, its European path and the development projects carried out with French assistance, with direct benefits for the citizens," said the Moldovan President’s Office.
During a meeting, President Maia Sandu and her French counterpart Emmanuel Macron discussed peace in Europe, Moldova's accession to the European Union and Moldovan-French projects.
