Adrian Dupu completed his duties as secretary of state of the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova of the Government of Romania. The announcement was posted by Dupu on his official website, IPN reports.

"I took over an institution that very few people had heard about and turned it into a landmark of the relations between Romania and Moldova. Whether we are talking about educational projects carried out with universities or high schools, schools, kindergartens, or cultural projects, whether we are talking about supporting the media or the church, the Department, under my administration and the administration of the team, managed to become one of the most respected Romanian institutions on the left bank of the Prut," said Adrian Dupu.

The Romanian press reported that Adrian Dupu was discharged by the decision of Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.

Until the appointment of the new head of the Department, the duties of the secretary of state will be carried out by Constantin-Valentin Răducanu, general director for management and projects.

Adrian Dupu was appointed secretary of state of the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova in 2021, by a decision of the then Prime Minister Florin Cîțu.
