The exemplary mobilization proves that the citizens on the left side of the Prut really care about the Republic of Moldova, about Romania and the common future in the European Union, state secretary of the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova Adrian Dupu stated in connection with the European Parliament elections, IPN reports.
“The obtained result showed that the people do not forget who fights for them and supports them in Brussels. Thank you, together we are stronger!”, Adrian Dupu wrote on Facebook.
The state secretary of the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova expressed gratitude to each citizen who went out to vote and, especially, to each one who voted for the PNL candidates.
“I thank my colleagues from PNL Diaspora Republic of Moldova. I thank all those who supported us in this campaign - every district head, mayor, local elected official, local leader and thousands of people who came to our meetings. Both the large voter turnout and the result of the elections showed that our work is not in vain,” Adrian Dupu wrote on Facebook.
According to data provided by the Permanent Electoral Authority of Romania, 56,700 Romanian citizens voted in the European Parliament elections in the Republic of Moldova on June 9, Moldova being the country with the highest voter turnout of Romanians from the diaspora.
