It is the duty of the state institutions to ensure predictability for the business community because we cannot talk about a strong economy without a well-established private sector. And a well-established private sector also means trust in public authorities, Secretary of State of the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova of the Romanian Government, Adrian Dupu, stated in the second edition of the Chisinau Economic Forum that is held under the auspices of the Romanian royal family, IPN reports.
The Romanian official noted that he wants this forum to become a tradition, including because it gathers together representatives of the public service and of the private sector in one space. “This year we, the organizers, joined in. Why are we here? Because the three themes of the forum – investments, innovation and European integration – are also our objectives, Romania’s objectives, what we want for the Republic of Moldova. This is the reason why we support and stand by everything that means public authorities, state institutions, but also the private sector. Indeed, we believe that this is the solution for the Republic of Moldova’s path,” said Adrian Dupu.
The official also said that, through the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova of the Romanian Government, a lot is invested in education in Moldova and in innovation. “We will continue to support high-quality education in the Republic of Moldova. We will continue to support such initiatives as this forum,” stated Adrian Dupu.
The Order of Malta’s Ambassador to Romania Roberto Musneci said the forum’s theme is full of content. “Innovation, economic development and European integration. It’s clear that all these concepts are interconnected and we have seen this also n other countries of the region. The development process involves economic development, institutional development, civil society development,” noted Roberto Musneci.
According to him, all these dimensions, being interconnected, can define a country vision. But a vision of this kind would not be strong enough if it is not based on a balanced and peaceful debate on the values that define it.
The Chisinau Economic Forum is staged on February 22-23 by the business club International Business Society, in partnership with the Investment Agency of Moldova, the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova of the Government of Romania, and Transylvania Today.
