Interim mayor of Chisinau Vasile Ursu requested “Termocom” JSC at the City Hall’s session held on Monday November 27 to team up with the managers of the dwelling fund in order to get involved in adjusting the meters in the block, although the dwelling-communal Division has recently ordered to seal the rooms where the heat meters are mounted.
According to the mayor, at present, as long the air temperatures remain high, the enterprise should allow regulating the thermal energy from the meter in the block, thus the given situation could be treated by the capital’s residents as an obligation to pay higher heat bills.
Earlier, local authorities stated that the persons in the blocks, responsible for meters, will not have anymore the right to regulate the temperature of the thermal supplier, a process that will be performed only at the thermal stations.
Sales director of “Termocom” JSC Mihai Arusoi stated that at present a number of citizens warn the enterprise that it is too warm in the apartments. According to him, the heat temperature is now of about 62% and the enterprises are supplying G-calories three times less than in the cold period of the year. Thus, the bills for the heat will be also three times lower, added Arusoi.
Once the weather gets colder, the authorities will impose restrictions on the adjustment to the meter again.
These City Hall’s actions were justified by many residents’ claims regarding the low temperatures in the flats as a result of adjusting the meters. The authorities have agreed that due to adjustments to the meter it is deregulated the process of supplying the apartments with heat.
