According to an ADEPT analysis of the list of candidates for MP that was posted on alegeri.md, the average monthly income of the candidates is 17,100 lei. A number of 264 candidates presented zero incomes for the last two years. Most of the candidates without incomes or 89% appear on the list of the Party “Noi”, which has the most modest income per candidate – 1,022 lei. The wealthiest candidates are those from the list of PAS, whose average income per candidate is 35,607 lei.

74% of the candidates are from urban areas, while 26% are from rural areas. Three candidates didn’t indicate any domicile address, while seven have the permanent domicile abroad. Most of the candidates who live in towns or 44% of all the candidates are from the municipality of Chisinau and its suburbs. The lists of the Party of Development and Unity of Moldova and Moldova’s Patriots Party include the lowest number of candidates from villages - 9% and, respectively, 7%. The only party where the candidates from rural areas prevail (58%) is the Party “Noi”.

The analysis shows that 25% of the candidates competed in the previous elections. Most of the candidates who have campaigning experience are those from the list of BeCS (90 persons). The only election contender whose candidates are competing in their first race is the Party “Noi”.

As many as 188 candidates are running in elections without being party members. Of the 1,790 candidates, 161 ran on the lists of at least two different parties. Most of the candidates who switched parties represent AUR (25 candidates), the Shor Party (19 candidates) and BeCS (16 candidates). The Party of Regions of Moldova and “Noi” do not have any candidate who switched parties, with “Noi” running in its first elections.
