DA Platform and PAS, ACUM electoral bloc, has been registered for participation in the snap parliamentary elections of October 20. A decision to this effect was approved today, August 28, by the Central Election Commission, IPN reports.
At the same time, CEC approved the electoral symbol of the bloc, consisting of Action and Solidarity Party and Dignity and Truth Platform Political Party, to be printed on the ballot. It represents "ACUM " inscription with capital letters, together with the rectangular symbols of the constituent parties, united in a geometric figure.
According to the decision, the Political Council of the electoral bloc will designate and respectively withdraw candidates for uninominal constituencies.
Previously, the two parties decided to participate within the ACUM Bloc in the general local elections on October 20 as well. According to PAS, the submission of documents to CEC for the registration of the Bloc will be made when the constituents, in accordance with the provisions of their statutes, agree on the majority of the joint candidates in the local elections.
On October 20, 2019 there will be general local elections, as well as snap parliamentary elections in four uninominal constituencies no.17, 33, 48 and 50. It happens after MPs Andrei Nastase, Maia Sandu, Viorel Melnic and Vladimir Plahotniuc gave up their mandates.
