The acting director of the Chisinau-based Municipal Hospital No. 1 Iurie Dondiuc was punished disciplinarily after the press reported that an ambulance of the institution with siren and the appropriate imprinting was used to transport building materials. The announcement was made by the head of the Health Division Mihai Moldovanu in the February 22 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, IPN reports.
Mihai Moldovanu said the ambulance that belongs to the Municipal Hospital No. 1 wasn’t used to carry patients. It was used for other purposes, but the siren and imprinting should have been removed so as not to mislead the people.
He also said that the hospital’s director was reprimanded for improperly managing the facilities and the personnel. Such actions affect the image of the national health system and appropriate measures should be taken in relation to the employees of the hospital.
