Three consumers were disconnected by “Apă-Canal Chişinău” (ACC) from the municipal water supply system. Two of them were connected to the water supply illegally. One of the consumers paid about 12,000 lei into the company’s pay office immediately after the excavation works began, the supplier said in a press release that is quoted by IPN.
As a result of inspections at 66 addresses, there were identified violations in the metering of the volume of consumed water and illegal connections to the network. Twenty-two consumers, even if they were informed beforehand about the checks, didn’t open the door to specialists of “Apă-Canal Chişinău”. The given consumers will be obliged to pay for the illegally consumed water and also a fine. If they want to further use the water supply and sewerage services, they will have to also cover the disconnection and reconnection costs.
“Apă Canal-Chișinău” warns the household and non-household users to clear the debts for water in the nearest future. The non-payment of bills does not free those with debts from the contractual obligations and they should settle the debts so as to avoid being sued or being penalized in other ways.
The water supplier asks the citizens to inform it about illegal connections to the public water supply and sewerage networks through the trust line 022-256-980 or through the email acc@acc.md.
