IPN flow synopsis for December 24, 2019

PSRM + PD: face to face and hand in hand

I discussed this matter with  Vladimir Putin and with Dmitry Kozak and I think the negotiations between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Ministry of Finance will end in January and this agreement should be ratified at one of the first sittings of Parliament in February. I think this is real and we could launch the infrastructure projects,” stated President Dodon.

Wordless role, of marionette

According to jurist Teodor Cîrnaț, President Igor Dodon played a role in the concession of the airport to the Russians. “In September, Igor Dodon said the future investor will be from the Russian Federation and I said then too that Rothschild was only a piece of this big puzzle. (...) The International Airport is a strategic facility that can help fulfill this constitutional duty, but he conceded the airport to the aggressor of the Republic of Moldova, i.e. the Russian Federation,” said the jurist.

Moldovans in the part of a bird with a worm in the beak

The company that manages the Chisinau International Airport presented the draft design of the new terminal that will be 55,000 square meters in area and will serve about 4.2 million passengers a year, but could be extended to 4.5 million passengers a year.

Nothing new under the sun

Moldova’s ex-President Vladimir Voronin said the idea of restoring the airport in Mărculești and of building an airport in southern Moldova does not belong to President Igor Dodon or to the Government led by Ion Chicu. According to him, this idea was implanted. Voronin didn’t say who implanted it, but implied that it came from Russia.

Schemes “have always existed”. Thefts continue to be committed

The 2020 state budget is the product of the work of three governments, led by Pavel Filip, Maia Sandu and Ion Chicu, stated the current Premier
Chicu. According to him, the schemes were applied at the time of many governments. There is an IMF report showing the underground economy in Moldova represents 40-50% of the GDP. In 2019, we have a GDP of about 215 billion and the underground economy is thus equal to 90-100 million lei,” the official stated in an interview for IPN of the series “Crossroads of years through the angle of the ideal of living better at home”.
