Approximately 50 apartment buildings managed by municipal companies haven’t been yet connected to the centralized heating system. According to the head of the Public Amenities Division Petru Gontea, technical faults were detected in a part of these blocks, while the rest of the buildings didn’t ask to be supplied with heat, IPN reports.
In the October 31 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, Petru Gontea said leakages were identified in a number of apartment buildings and these cannot be yet connected to the supply of heat. The problems will solved in the nearest future. As regards the applications for cold-month allowances, over 8,000 such applications have been submitted to the municipal enterprises so far. Applications are filed in parallel to the district head’s offices.
The Division’s head said they are working on a draft decision to empower the Social Assistance Division to deal with the applications for cold-month allowances as of January 1, 2018. The given decision is to be examined and approved by the Chisinau Municipal Council.
