Boomerang from 2016

A former head of the National Investigation Inspectorate of the Ministry of the Interior was arrested by anticorruption prosecutors for unjust enrichment and passive corruption. Greater the crime, higher the gallows

Alexandru Stahurschii, of the Center for Strategic Studies and Reforms, said society should support the Prosecutor General’s Office. Presidential adviser Sergei Mishin stated Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo knows what the vertical of power in the prosecution service is.

Budget of “technocratic” minority and of those with tattoo “from the Kroll”

The head of the parliamentary group of the Action and Solidarity Party Igor Grosu said they do not have reasons to vote the draft state budget for 2020. The draft budget is unrealistic as it will be unable to cover the deficit agreed by the Government for next year. The electoral character of the planned deficit could have repercussions for the stability of public finances and the economic growth in the medium and long terms, considers the Independent Think Tank “Expert-Grup”. Finally, Parliament gave the second, final reading to the state budget law for 2020. The state budget deficit was projected at 7.415,3 billion lei. As many as 56 of the attending 77 MPs voted in favor.

Poor because they are stupid and stupid because they are poor

According to experts, the people’s welfare during the next few years can be negatively affected by the stagnation of the foreign sources of income, transfers from abroad, and the domestic ones, salaries. The record pay rise paces in 2018 and 2019 can be tempered owing to the budgetary constraints and the slower labor productivity growth. At regional level, the Republic of Moldova is a loser in the investment attraction race. This shows the shortcomings existing in the business sector of the country haven’t been systemically addressed in time, stated “Expert-Grup”.

It happens so when thieves “investigate” own deed

After over five years of the commission of frauds in the banking sector, public opinion does not yet have clear answers as to what happened then and who is to blame. Even if a number of investigations were conducted, recover strategies were worked out and parliamentary commissions of inquiry were constituted, the result is the same – there are more questions than answers. It is yet clear that the frauds and the investigation process were and continue to be politically motivated and are a too difficult test for the justice system, says the publication “Economic Reality: top ten economic events of 2019 and top ten challenges for 2020” produced by the Independent Think Tank “Expert-Grup”.

Good to pass on their experience to students
