The “Tiras-Tighina” 1992 War Veterans Association called upon the citizens to fight together against the Russian propaganda promoted by particular politicians in the country and called on the citizens to choose the European path in the referendum of October 20.

In a news conference hosted by IPN, the association’s chairman Anatolie Caraman noted that after two years of resistance, the human and technical reserves in Ukraine have practically been exhausted, and the population is demoralized and tired. The changes in Ukraine also put Moldova in a difficult situation, creating a state of distrust of tomorrow. If Ukraine does not resist, Moldova will also fall prey to Moscow.

Anatolie Caraman called on all the people of good faith to get involved in the process of countering the Russian propaganda, explaining to those who are disoriented and lied to that the population here can live better only as part of Western civilization. He added that the shortest path to the EU and collective security is through the historical truth of reunion with the mother country.

“Tiras-Tighina” calls upon the Security and Intelligence Service to act firmly to neutralize all the destabilizing, extremist forces created by Russian espionage. The Police and the Prosecutor’s Office should neutralize the people who on Tik-Tok support fugitive oligarch Ilan Shor in an indecorous way and negatively influence children’s education. In this regard, the association intends to send a set of collected materials to the respective institutions.

Alexandru Banari, a member of the Administration Board of “Tiras-Tighina” and lawyer for the association, said that the government was late in taking measures against “traitors who undermined the policy of the Moldovan state”, who betray national interests and put group and party interests above everything. He urged public veterans’ organizations to say openly, until the referendum, whether they support the plebiscite or not.

Thracian-Getae Association chairman Vasile Nastas said that the association he represents supports the European course, with the desire to reach the EU through Romania. In his opinion, over the years, a number of traitors who were in power infiltrated other traitors into the state bodies and the leadership of the National Army. The association condemns the traitors and wants the state Republic of Moldova to condemn the traitors. Among the traitors, he also named ex-President Igor Dodon, who used to travel to Moscow after “advice”.

Chairman of the Association of Culture and Law “Transnistria” Anatol Croitoru said that the members of the association support the country’s accession to the European Union. “On October 20, we will take an active part to support the European referendum, to bring our country into the big European family,” stated Anatol Croitoru.

Ludmila Bălțatu, head of the European Branch of the “Tiras-Tighina” 1992 War Veterans Association, urged all the Bessarabians to be united and to follow the path that leads to Europe, to Romania and to a better future.
