The independence of the Republic of Moldova and other states of the USSR, gained 15 years ago, not only caused the downfall of the Union, but also of many destinies. Such an opinion also has Galina Titov, a homeless person for 7 years now, the ex-wife of a director of a big enterprise from Chisinau, ex-worker of this enterprise and ex-employee of “Alexei Mateevici” theater.
Born in Russia in 1930, in Gusi-Hrustakinii, she came to Moldova in 1964. She ended up in the streets in 1999, after her only son, director of a company, sold her flat and left her homeless. Galina Titov has related to the reporter of Info-Prim Neo that if the USSR hadn’t fallen apart, she wouldn’t end up like this. For 7 years, including the cold winters, she sleeps in somebody else’s yard, in shelters she builds during the day and eats whatever people give her. She claims that she is too old to work, and she doesn’t beg, the people who know her bring food from their initiative. For example, not once she was rescued from starvation by the director of “Alexandru Mateevici” theater, Eugen Circiumaru, by the employees of the branch of JSC “Moldincombank” from Sciusev str. and by the local residents.
Galina Titova states that there are many rich people, but few of them remained human. Most people struggle in poverty and are constrained to flee the country and serve the foreigners.
From the homelessness’s point of view, the independence brought to Moldova corruption, thievery, bribery and organized crime.
The Info-Prim reporter specified that Galina Titova (in the photo from the right) is keen on using lipstick regularly and has not been seen in the company of the local drunk-men, who are relatively many in her “residential area”.
