Maximum alert of transport police, delays in train schedule, frightened passengers and inconveniences are the results of a young man’s bad joke, who alerted on Easter the police that the train Chisinau-Moscova is mined.
According to the Ministry of Interior’s press service, the employees of the Transport Police Commissariat, who reacted at a phone call, organized a series of operative-investigative actions in order to rescue the passengers, to find the explosive. At the same time, other policemen managed to identify the persons who triggered the alarm. The young man aged 25 said to policemen that he was disappointed of his lover leaving and being drunk, this seemed to him the best way to stop the train to return back his girlfriend.
Thus the railway circulation was disturbed not only in Moldova, but in Ukraine and Russian Federation as well.
Now, “in love desperado” is arrested, and against him was opened a case according to 2 articles of the Penal Code - “Lying information being aware of the terrorism act” and “Hooliganism”. If he is found guilty, he risks a fine up to 14,000 lei or 7 years life emprisonment.
