8 stock lots sold at 3rd state securities auction

At the third auction selling state-owned stocks in companies, which took place on Moldova Stock Exchange from July 28 to August, the state's stakes in 8 companies have been sold out of 33. The transactions value is 39.1 million lei, with 1.7 million more than the starting price of the lots, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communique, issued by the Moldovan Bourse (MSE), 6 buyers have got stakes bigger than 50% in the equity. 5 lots have been sold at the initial price. The most expensive stake belonged to SA „Statiunea Tehnologica de Masini din Calarasi”. The lot was sold against 47 lei per share, thrice the initial price. The stocks of SA „Combinatul auto nr.1” were bought against 3.16 lei/unit, twice the initial price. The securities of SA „Uzina biochimica din Balti” rose 23% during the auction. The first auction of this kind was organized last March, as the Government sold its stakes in 16 companies out of 53, worth 62 million lei, what was twice the initial price. The second auction took place in June. The state put up its stakes in 40 companies, as 17 were sold against a total amount of 65.8 million lei, 20% more than the starting price.
