The 74th season of the National Philharmonic “Sergei Lunkevich” has come to an end. In October the team will have a new, jubilee season. The institution’s artistic director Marian Starcea has told IPN that the next season will be richer and more beautiful and will include artists and conductors who performed on the stage of the National Philharmonic in time.

Marian Starcea said the season that closed was a very difficult one for the Philharmonic, which is affected by what is happening in the country. “But it was also a very successful season, rich in talents and names, festivals and concerts. Our spectators appreciate us. They said we have the largest number of concerts at the Philharmonic. The people appreciate us and we are glad that we continue to develop,” he stated.

The artists of the National Philharmonic “Sergei Lunkevich” will not have a long vacation as they must prepare for the jubilee season. “The 75th season will involve more singers and conductors. It will be opened on October 1, when it is marked the International Music Day. We will do our best for this season to be successful as the Philharmonic is the country’s visiting card,” said Marian Stârcea.

Such top conductors of the Philharmonic as Dumitru Goia, Valentin Doni, and Robert Luther and many other artists who performed or made their debut at “Sergei Lunkevich” will take part in the 75th season.
