52 polling stations to be opened in Moldova for electing MEPs for Romania

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is organizing, through its diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad, 915 polling stations for the elections of members from Romania at the June 9 European Parliament elections. 52 polling stations will be opened in the Republic of Moldova.

Most polling stations in Moldova will be opened in Chisinau, 13, including three at the Consulate General, eight will be accommodated by schools, and two others by the State University. Two polling stations will be opened in the municipality of Balti, one of which at the local consulate. The list of polling stations can be viewed on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, in the section dedicated to elections.

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminds voters that in the European parliamentary elections on June 9, Romanian citizens with the right to vote who are domiciled, have residence or are temporarily abroad can vote at any polling station organized abroad, based on a Romanian identity document valid on the day of voting, including ID card; electronic identity card, provisional identity card, identity card, diplomatic passport, electronic diplomatic passport, service passport, electronic service passport, standard passport, electronic standard passport, simple temporary passport, in the case of students from military schools, military service.

In the June 9 election, voting starts at 07:00 local time and ends at 10:00 p.m. Voters who are in the polling station at 10:00 p.m., as well as those queuing outside the polling station to vote, can exercise their right to vote until 11:59 p.m. local time.
