About 3,000 policemen, over 1,000 members of people’s guards and 300 employees of private guard services will maintain public order during the festivities that will be held to celebrate Independence Day. 1,000 police officers will work in Chisinau, 600 of whom in the Great National Assembly Square, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, the persons under the influence of alcohol and those who will have alcoholic beverages, firearms, munitions, explosives, knives or other dangerous objects on them will be barred access to the central square of Chisinau. Filters with metal detectors will be set up in the access areas.
The General Police Inspectorate recommends the people not to leave precious objects in their vehicles, to permanently keep the children under supervision and to use public units of transport so as to avoid forming traffic jams.
The economic entities are urged not to sell alcoholic drinks and tobacco products too minors and to be careful when preparing food on gas stoves or barbecues by using gas cylinders and other inflammable accessories.
