The Government decided to allocate 3.5 million lei for helping certain categories of people to buy new homes or repair their old homes, IPN reports.
The money will be allocated from the state budget. It will be transferred to the budgets of the territorial-administrative units. The lists of recipients of lump sums were compiled by special commissions of the local public authorities.
Minister of Finance Anatol Arapu said that financial assistance will be provided to people who didn’t benefit from preferential loans and weren’t provided with dwellings by October 22, 2004, who have letters of guarantee issued by the local authorities before January 1, 2010 and those who do not have letters of guarantee starting with January 1, 2014. There will be 92 beneficiaries overall.
