The Chisinau City Hall announced the implementation of a new Common Model Menu for the winter-spring season in kindergartens, which will be applied starting with December 1. This initiative, approved by the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport and coordinated with the Public Health Center, aims to provide the children with a healthy, balanced diet adapted to their developmental needs.

The new menu was designed in accordance with the orders of the Ministry of Health and based on the Culinary Methodological Guide. The process involved kindergarten directors, food technologists, doctors and nutritionists from the National Public Health Agency and the Public Health Center, IPN reports.

The menu is structured for a daily activity of 10.5 hours and includes three main meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner – and a snack. The menu is designed to ensure an optimal balance between calories, proteins, lipids and carbohydrates, contributing to the health and harmonious development of children.

Over 32,000 children enrolled in kindergartens in Chisinau will benefit from this menu, which aims to support physical growth and cognitive development through proper nutrition. "We want to offer our children not only quality education, but also the necessary conditions for healthy development. This project reflects our commitment to ensure the best standards for future generations," said the General Division of Education.

Specialists emphasize that a balanced diet plays a crucial role in preventing health problems and supporting children's cognitive performance. The Chisinau City Hall and its partners intend to constantly monitor the implementation of the menu and cooperate with experts to adjust it according to seasonal needs and recommendations in the field.

Through this initiative, the municipality reaffirms its commitment to the quality of life of children in kindergartens, considering healthy eating a priority for a better future.
