The 2021 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival will be most probably postponed for a year so as to avoid a conflict of program with the Tokyo Olympic Games, IPN reports.
The European Youth Olympic Festival in Banska Bystrica of Slovakia was scheduled for July 24 – August 1, 2021. In the period, more exactly between July 23 and August 8, 2021, there will be held the Tokyo Olympics that were to take place this year, but were suspended because of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the previous European Youth Olympic Festival held in Baku in 2019, Moldova won two silvers and a bronze medal.
The 2021 European Youth Winter Olympic Festival of Vuokatti, Finland, which was set for February 6-13, will not be rescheduled.
