The poisoning of dogs and intentional closing of cats in basements of apartment buildings on the territory of Chisinau municipality is banned. The Chisinau Public Amenities Division is to launch a municipal project to sterilize pet animals without a master to the value of 300,000 lei. An order to this effect was signed by acting mayor general Ruslan Codreanu, IPN reports.
Under the order, the funds earmarked in the 2018 budget for covering costs associated with the delimiting and laying out of areas for walking dogs will be temporarily redistributed for financing the new costs. The Public Amenities Division will monthly present information about the number of pet animals that will be neutered.
The order that bans the inhuman treatment of pet animals on the territory of Chisinau municipality was issued following multiple approaches made by inhabitants of the capital city.
