As many as 188 new infections with the novel coronavirus were confirmed in Moldova on May 28 after doing 1,445 tests. Seventeen of those infected are healthcare workers. Eight persons succumbed to COVID-19 today, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, the victims are five men and three women aged between 58 and 82 from Chisinau, Cahul, Bălți, Ceadîr-Lunga, Ocnița, Drochia and the Transnistrian region.
Another 148 persons who got cured were discharged from the hospital. The number of persons who recovered rose to 4,123.
Moldova has got 7,725 infections with COVID-19 so far.
