The 1,810 doses of COVID-19 vaccines, which form part of the donation made by Romania of Moldova, were conveyed to Tiraspol, IPN reports.
The Bureau for Reintegration noted the vaccines were transmitted by representatives of national medical institutions to specialists of health facilities of the Transnistrian region.
“It should be noted that such aspects as the transportation, administration of the vaccines and monitoring of their effect at the first stage of vaccination of the population from both sides of the Nistru were the main subjects discussed by experts of the working groups for health protection of Chisinau and Tiraspol at the recently organized meetings, being also discussed at training courses taught by specialists of the Ministry of Healthy, Labor and Social Protection and the National Public Health Agency, with the World Health Organization’s assistance,” the Bureau for Reintegration said in a press release.
The Transnistrian leader Vadim Krasnoselsky, by a message posted on social networking sites, thanked Romania for the assistance provided during the pandemic. He noted that discussions are now held with the Russian authorities for being provided with Sputnik V vaccines.
