Another 153 new infections with the novel coronavirus were confirmed today in Moldova. Eighteen of those found infected are healthcare workers. Of the total, 151 infections are local transmission cases and two are import cases, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.
A number of 804 tests were done today. The largest numbers of infections with COVID-19 were recorded in Chisinau, Bălți, and Sîngerei.
Four persons succumbed to COVID-19 on May 31. The two men and two women aged between 61 and 83 were from Chisinau, Orhei district and the municipality of Bălți. The death toll rose to 295.
As many as 126 persons were discharged from the hospital after being cured of COVID-19. The number of persons who recovered now stands at 4,581.
Moldova has got 8,251 infections with COVID-19 so far.
