14 persons compete for two vacancies on Supervisory Board

The time limit for submitting applications for filling two vacant posts of member of the Supervisory Board of the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio-Moldova” ended. The Broadcasting Coordination Council announced that 14 contenders are running for the two posts, IPN reports.

The candidates are: Boris Bechet, Oleg Brega, Marcel Burlacu, Arhip Cibotaru, Svetlana Ciocanu-Enachi, Alexandru Grosu, Victoria Musteata, Alina Palii, Aurelia Peru-Balan, Serghei Plesca, Alexandru Popovich, Nicolae Spataru, Marina Turcan, and Ion Verbeniuc.

The public hearing and the selection of candidates will take place within a public meeting of the Council, which is to be staged within 15 days of the deadline.

The Supervisory Board has been nonfunctional since the end of 2013, when six members of the nine completed their duties. At the start of this March, Parliament confirmed four persons to the post of Supervisory Board member, namely Vitalie Tapes, Stela Nistor, Ludmila Vasilache, and Lilia Gurez.
