13 representatives of local councils of different levels of Singerei district have joined the Party of Socialists of Moldova (PSRM). They said they made such a decision due to a number of factors that characterize the present situation in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports.
”Our decision was determined by such factors as the worsening of the socioeconomic situation in the country, the division of society by political criteria, the lack of development prospects in Moldova and the disagreements inside the ruling alliance,” Hechiul Nou village councilor Evelina Precop told a news conference.
According to the local councilors, the Party of Socialists can and provides solutions to the political impasse. The councilors aim to create groups and factions of the Socialists in the administrative bodies of Singerei district.
”As the colleagues from Parliament and those from the Chisinau Municipal Council, we will be ready to cooperate with representatives of the other political parties so as to prove the constructive character of the policy pursued by the Socialists all over the country,” said Evelina Precop.
The councilors who joined the PSRM pledged to focus on the people’s interests, not hidden agreements or distribution of posts. They urged the other colleagues disappointed with the Communists and the parties of the ruling alliance to join the Socialists, who, according to them, represent the only constructive opposition in Parliament and a political force that is able to establish peace and stability in the country.
