Fishing is banned for a period of 60 consecutive days, from April 9 until June 7 inclusive, from the intersection of the Prut River with the northern border of the Republic of Moldova with Ukraine up to Teţcani village, in the Costeşti-Stînca reservoir and on the section between the dam of the Costeşti-Stînca hydropower plant up to Giurgiuleşti village. The prohibition refers to sport, amateur and recreational fishing of any type of fish, selfish, mollusks and other aquatic creatures, IPN reports.
During 67 consecutive days, between April 10 and June 15 inclusive, it is banned fishing in the Nistru River on the section between Naslavcea village and Camenca town, in the Dubăsari reservoir, in the section from the dam of the Dubăsari hydropower plant up to Palanca village (km 28) and also in the Turunciuc branch and in the Cahul lake.
Fishing is also banned for 82 consecutive days, between April 10 and June 30, in the rivers Ciorna, Răut, Ichel, Bîc and Botna, which are branches of the Nistru, in the rivers Larga, Vilia, Lopatnic, Gârla Mare, Tigheci, which are branches of the Prut, in the Manta marshes and in the rivers Cogîlnic, Cahul, Ialpug, except for artificial fishing facilities built on them.
Between April 9 and June 30, fishing is banned in fishing facilities others than those used for pisciculture activities, except for technological pisciculture measures.
Private individuals are banned from using naval transport in natural ponds during the prohibition period and in places banned for fishing.
The violation of the rules is punished in accordance with the law.
