The co-rapporteurs of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Lise Christoffersen and Piotr Wach are paying a fact-finding visit to Moldova on May 13-16. The program of the visit includes meeting with the President of Moldova, Head of Parliament and Prime Minister. The co-rapporteurs will also discuss with MPs of Moldova’s delegation to the PACE, the heads of the parliamentary groups and the leaders of some parties, IPN reports.
According to the Government’s press service, the co-rapporteurs will also have meetings with the president of the Constitutional Court, the National Anticorruption Center director and the prosecutor general, the deputy prime minister for reintegration, the deputy minister of foreign affairs and European integration and other officials as well as with representatives of international organizations working in Chisinau, of civil society and the mass media.
While in Moldova, the PACE co-rapporteurs will pay a visit to the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, where they will meet with Governor Irina Vlah, chairman of the People’s Assembly Dumitru Constantinov and representatives of civil society.
