The Republic of Moldova joins the Digital Europe Program - an initiative of the European Union that comes with numerous benefits for entrepreneurs, local authorities, the NGO sector and citizens. The association agreement for this program was signed in Brussels, IPN reports.
“Joining this program means that the business community of the country, mayor’s offices, civil society, which is the NGOs, and the central state institutions will have access to European funds for digitization,” the Government’s spokesman Daniel Vodă told a press conference.
The total EU budget for this program is €7.5 billion, which is available to all the member states of the program until 2027.
“Our country will benefit from financial support and expertise within this program and companies in our country will become more competitive in this initiative. Our rapprochement with Europe means more opportunities here, at home, to build a prosperous European future and high-quality living conditions in the Republic of Moldova,” stated Daniel Vodă.
The association agreement for the Digital Europe Program was signed in Brussels by Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba and EU Commissioner for the Internal Market Thierry Breton.
