Immunization against seasonal flu begins in multiple public health care institutions across the country. People with chronic diseases and with compromised immunity will be among the first to receive the shot.
In total, 218,000 flu shots will be distributed to immunize children and adults in groups at increased risk of contracting flu, including professional contingents. The shots are distributed to public health care centers and medical institutions in the country starting on October 21.
The Ministry of Health recalls that vaccination is the safest and most effective method of preventing influenza. The composition of the vaccine corresponds to the recommendations of the World Health Organization for the northern hemisphere, season 2022-2023.
