FC Tiraspol drew 1-1 with Veris in the sixth stage of the National Division. The team from Tiraspol managed to tie in the last minute and is now a leader with 13 points, as Dacia, IPN reports.
Petru Racu opened the score in the 4th minute by a penalty kick from Nicolae Josan. But Eugen Zasavitschi was eliminated in the middle of the second half and Veris’s plans were thwarted. Having by one more player in its lineup, FC Tiraspol drew through Oleg Molla in the second minute of the overtime.
“The elimination helped those from Tiraspol to tie. It was an interesting match. It’s a pity we didn’t win,” Veris coach Lilian Popescu told a news conference after the game.
“I think it is a fair result. After the elimination, we controlled the game,” said the coach of FC Tiraspol Vlad Goian.
Another two encounters of the sixth stage ended as follows: Milsami - Dinamo-Auto 6-0 and FC Costuleni - Zaria 2-3. On August 30, Saxan meets Academia, while on August 31 – Dacia plays against Zimbru.
