Before the start of the new school year, the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family and the national population support fund, through the agency of the local funds, will provide social support to the disadvantaged families with children of school age, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Ministry. About 11.2 million lei will be allocated for the purpose, by 760,000 lei more than in 2009. “The families with four children and more, the one-parent families and the families with disabled children, the non-institutionalized orphans, children who were educated in family-type children's homes and other families on low incomes will receive financial assistance by September 1,” said Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga. The lists of recipients will be compiled by the local eduction institutions in concert with the relevant public commissions of the mayors' offices. The financial support will be minimum 100 lei per child. The money will be distributed through Banca de Economii and Moldova's Post Office at the end of August. The financial assistance in the municipality of Chisinau will be 600 lei for a child. A sum of 4.626 million lei will be allotted from the national population support fund and the municipal social support fund for this aim. Over 31,000 families received financial support to get ready the children for school in 2009.
