The Republic of Moldova's cooperation with the OSCE, including with the autonomous institutions of this organization, was one of the topics discussed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Hadi Sinirlioğlu, who is paying his first working visit to the Republic of Moldova after taking office, IPN reports.
The two officials also conferred on the role of the organization as an important player in the security architecture of the European continent, the organization's support designed to strengthen the resilience and stability of the Republic of Moldova, cooperation with the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova, the regional security situation, including the latest developments in the Transnistrian file.
"Despite the unprecedented challenges, the Republic of Moldova remains firmly committed to observing the OSCE principles and fully supports the priorities of the 202 5OSCE Chairpersonship, being ready to engage constructively in discussions on the restoration of peace, security, justice and co-operation in Europe," said Mihai Popșoi.
The OSCE Secretary General reaffirmed the organization's support for the Republic of Moldova, including the continuation of efforts aimed at settling the Transnistrian conflict and reintegrating the country.
