The Republic of Moldova and France will extend the dialogue between specialists of the ministries of defense of the two countries so as to continue proper discussions and to strengthen the bilateral partnership, said Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, who paying a visit to Paris together with Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatyi, IPN reports.
The two minsters had a meeting with Minister of the Armed Forces of France Sébastien Lecornu. In the discussion, the officials conferred on methods of amplifying bilateral cooperation in the defense sector.
“I highly appreciated the assistance offered through the European Peace Facility for strengthening the medical capacities and the capacities of the National Army’s explosive ordnance disposal engineers and the support announced in six areas of interests – military defense logistics, mobility, command and control, cyber defense, air recognition and tactical communications,” said Nicu Popescu, being quoted in a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
The sides exchanged opinions on the current regional security challenges generated by Russia’s unjust war against Ukraine and the hybrid threats generated by this.
