Chisinau residents pay their utility bills more regularly in last four years
The number of the capital’s residents that do not pay utility bills has been significantly reduced in the last four years, data from the Municipal Enterprise “Infocom” show. Its head, Ion Margineanu says that in 2003, 42% of the consumers made no payments, 26% paid for utilities partially and only 31% integrally.
As Margineanu states, in 2006 Chisinau residents became more responsible as concerns the payment for the services provided. The number of consumers that integrally pay their bills increased up to 72%. People that partially paid the public utilities comprise 9%, while Chisinau residents that did not pay for utilities made up 18% in 2006.
The best paid in December are the electricity bills – 110%, for water (“Apa – Canal Chisinau”) – 108%. “Termocom” services provided in December have been paid at a 93% level.
“Infocom” is invoicing about 400 thousand of bills monthly.
