The Chisinau Municipal Mortgage Agency AMIC manages to cope with the challenges of the world financial crisis, which in Moldova affected mainly the construction sector, due to a set of special measures, the head of the Agency’s sales department Nicolae Rusu has told Info-Prim Neo. The measures are aimed at reducing costs, more efficiently organizing the construction process and working directly with the current and potential investors – future apartment owners. In particular, AMIC has directed all the financial potential towards the facilities whose construction is close to an end, which enabled to put them in commission or to prepare them for being put in commission and fulfill thus the private contracts. The Agency has pursued a rational policy to reduce the costs of new apartments so that the interests of the two sides are satisfied. In this connection, AMIC also made effort to mediate more attractive loans than those on the housing market in Moldova for its clients, Nicolae Rusu said. Five apartment buildings are now being erected at a high pace. Three of them are situated at 7, 9, 9/1 Varsovia Street, one at 32/7 Andrei Doga Street and another one at 13/3 Cuza Voda Street. Under the Agency’s plan and the investment contracts with the dwellers, the first three blocks will be ready in the third quarter of this year, while the other two – in the second quarter of 2011. Nicolae Rusu said that the joiner’s workshop, the equipment and internal piping system are now being installed in the blocks situated on Varsovia Street. The internal finish works are being completed, as stipulated in the private contracts. Works were initiated to tidy up the adjoining territory. The other internal works have been already finished. The construction works go according to plan and will be completed in due time. “The investors should also fulfill their obligations and pay the remaining installments in time.” The same anti-crisis measures allowed the Municipal Mortgage Agency to recently finish the construction of several blocks in two Residential Complexes in Chisinau: in Telecentru area and in Ciocana district. Thus, 153 apartments were put in commission in the buildings located at 38/1 Drumul Viilor Street last December, while 98 apartments situated in two blocks on Mircea cel Batran Blvd. this February. Consequently, Nicolae Rusu said, AMIC fulfilled all its obligations. Those that invested money received the desired apartments. During the last 10 years, the Chisinau Municipal Mortgage Agency AMIC has built 39 apartment buildings with 2,316 apartments, contributing to improved living conditions for about 3,400 families.
