Angela Ciobanu, an actress at the National Theatre “Mihai Eminescu”, became the second holder of the personal Award “Valeriu Jereghi”, which was instituted last year for professionalism and devotement to the art of cinematography. The first winner of the award was the young artist Marin Iliut. Film director Valeriu Jereghi told Info-Prim Neo that he instituted this prize in order to support the persons who managed to prove that they are the potential pillars of the Moldovan cinematography. Angela Ciobanu proved in the movie “Mirage of Love” that the art of cinematography and theatre can be successfully combined by a gifted person. According to the director, Angela Ciobanu is the first actress who was registered at the Agency of Actors “Valeriu Jereghi”, which was opened on the day when the award was given to her. She holds the Agency’s identification card with the number 0001. The Agency has branches in the Russian Federation and USA. “Valeriu Jereghi” Award consists of a diploma and a USD 200 money prize.
