1,300 foreigners can come to Moldova to get official employment this year
A number of 1,300 foreigners can come to Moldova to be officially employed this year. The quota on economic migrants this year is higher. In 2005, there were issued 731 work permits, while during 2007-2008 – more than 1,000, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The construction of the Giurgiulesti international port and of the electric power station in Ungheni, the planned production of helicopters at the Marculesti International Airport and other projects implemented with the support of foreign investors require a large number of engineers and administrative personnel, including from abroad, the informative note to the draft decision approved by the Government says.
According to the National Employment Agency, there are over 16,000 job vacancies in Moldova at present.
