A man aged 29 from Ialoveni died at a building site in Chisinau’s Botanica district on September 26.

Contacted by IPN, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Adrian Jovmir said that at about 11am the police were informed that a mass of earth fell onto one of the workers.

The incident happened on a building site situated on Natalia Gheorghiu St in Botanica. The workers were laying underground networks. The State Labor Inspectorate and the General Police Inspectorate will investigate the incident to determine if the killed man worked legally there and if the employer equipped the workers appropriately.

The young man had two minor children.
