One of the rescue crew members died at the scene. The truck driver and two other IGSU team members were taken away by ambulance.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"829\" src=\"https:\/\/ipn.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ACCIDENT-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-94662\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ipn.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ACCIDENT-2.jpg 960w, https:\/\/ipn.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ACCIDENT-2-300x259.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ipn.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ACCIDENT-2-768x663.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ipn.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ACCIDENT-2-585x505.jpg 585w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo source: IGP<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A few hours later, the police announced the death of the second firefighter. &#8220;The entire National Police force extends its condolences and strength to the families of the two colleagues who lost their lives while on a mission to save other lives&#8221;, said a message from the General Police Inspectorate.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The firefighters who died in the accident in Telenesti are Rotari Vasile Ion and Damir Igor Nicolai, aged 43 and 37, respectively.
