The EC has approved the signing and provisional application of an agreement between the EU and Moldova regarding Moldova&#8217;s participation in the program, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The agreement is set to be signed on September 2, and the European Commission specifies that, once signed, the Agreement will be applied on a provisional basis.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The decision will allow Moldovan organizations to participate alongside EU partners in cultural projects that promote cross-border cooperation, artistic mobility, and cultural diversity&#8221;, declared MEP Dan Barna.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Creative Europe program aims to strengthen the resilience of Europe&#8217;s cultural and creative sectors, supporting thousands of projects and professionals across the continent, states the European Commission.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Minister of Culture, Sergiu Prodan, stated in a recent interview given to IPN, that Moldova has not left the Creative Europe program, despite erroneous interpretations in the public space. Another aspect mentioned by the minister is related to Moldova&#8217;s financial contribution to participation in the program.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although the protocol stipulates this contribution, &#8220;understanding both the situation in Moldova, the importance of adhering to the protocol, the support of the European Union, we actually have an understanding that this financial contribution for participation in Creative Europe, for these remaining two years of this program, Moldova will not have to contribute financially&#8221;, says Minister Sergiu Prodan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European Commission has decided that Moldova will join the Creative Europe program starting from January 1, 2026.
