Of the nine areas assessed in the fifth monitoring round of the Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan, four were rated &#8220;exceptional&#8221;, IPN reports.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The greatest progress has been made in the following areas: anti-corruption policies, the independence of the judiciary, the independence of the prosecution and the authorities specialized in fighting corruption, according to a press release issued by the National Anti-Corruption Centre (CNA), the institution that represented the Republic of Moldova at the meeting held in Paris, France.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two other areas &#8211; conflict of interest and declaration of income as well as whistleblower protection &#8211; were rated &#8216;high&#8217;.
