Heavy vehicles will not be allowed on the streets of Chisinau on hot days, when temperatures exceed 30 degrees Celsius. The ban applies between 10 A.M.-8 P.M. and concerns vehicles weighing more than 20 tons, IPN reports.<\/p>\n\n

The measure was taken in order to prevent damage to the road, a provision to this effect was signed by Deputy Mayor Ilie Ceban.<\/p>\n\n

The restrictions do not apply to means of passenger transport, live animals or perishable goods. Also exempt are motor vehicles involved in interventions in the event of force majeure, as well as those equipped with first-aid equipment and involved in prevention and liquidation activities in the event of emergencies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
